Hoa Phat Da Nang Steel Pipe prepares to install rooftop solar power system

Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Da Nang Co., Ltd. is accelerating its 2026 plans, with a key focus on installing a rooftop solar power system with a capacity of 5.2 MW. The project aims to increase the use of clean, self-generated electricity for production, reduce operating costs, and contribute to environmental protection by lowering CO₂ emissions.

On April 27, 2026, Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Group and General Director of Hoa Phat Steel Products Joint Stock Company, as well as Director of Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., held a working session with the Da Nang branch to discuss upcoming development directions.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thai Son and Mr. Le Quang Tuan, Deputy Directors of Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Co., Ltd.

During the session, the leadership team discussed and agreed on solutions to improve operational efficiency and enhance production capacity. A key priority is the investment in the 5.2 MW rooftop solar system at the Da Nang steel pipe plant, aimed at increasing the share of clean energy, reducing dependence on grid electricity, and better controlling production costs. At the same time, the company will implement technical upgrades and optimize production operations.

Specifically, the acid fume extraction system will be upgraded to improve working conditions and enhance the efficiency of the pipe galvanizing line. Equipment planning will be aligned more closely with actual production needs, while warehouse areas and hot-rolled coil (HRC) storage will be reorganized in a more systematic and efficient manner.

Hoa Phat Steel Pipe currently holds the number one market share in Vietnam, with nearly 35%.

The company operates a network of modern factories across Northern, Central, and Southern Vietnam, including facilities in Hung Yen, Da Nang, Tay Ninh, and Ho Chi Minh City, with a total capacity of 1.2 million tons per year.
