On August 13, 2026, Hoa Phat Group (HPG) met with representatives of domestic and international investment funds. During discussions with HPG’s management, the funds showed the strongest interest in the Hoa Phat Dung Quat railway and special steel factory project, the Group’s real estate projects, and its use of clean energy in production.
On August 13, 2026, Hoa Phat Group (HPG) met with representatives of domestic and international investment funds at its office at 66 Nguyen Du, HanoiOrganized by Vietcap Securities, the event aimed to connect Vietnamese companies with domestic and international investors and funds. Representing Hoa Phat, Chief Financial Officer Pham Thi Kim Oanh updated participants on the Group’s operations and answered questions in detail about its investment plans and development strategy for the coming period.
Progress in railway steel production and commercialization
The Hoa Phat Dung Quat railway and special steel project has a designed capacity of 700,000 tonnes per year and is now 60% complete. Hoa Phat expects to produce its first high-speed railway rail in the first quarter of 2027, in time to serve key national railway projects and demonstrate its capability in high-value-added steel products.
Hoa Phat plans to expand its railway and special steel project in the Dung Quat Economic Zone by nearly 77 hectares, adding 2 million tonnes of capacity. Total investment in the project is expected to increase by about VND 20 trillion.
Which real estate projects is Hoa Phat investing in?
In real estate, Hoa Phat plans to start work on the Mandarin Garden 3 apartment project in Yen So, Hanoi, in the fourth quarter of this year. The project will cover 1.7 hectares and include two apartment towers with about 1,000 units.
Hoa Phat is also involved in a major real estate project, the multi-purpose urban development in Thu Lam Commune, Dong Anh, Hanoi, which covers nearly 700 hectares. The project is designed to provide resettlement housing for site clearance and develop a smart urban area in northern Hanoi.
On August 11, 2026, the Group also contributed capital to another key project, a multi-purpose urban area and resettlement urban area in Linh Nam Ward, Hanoi. Covering nearly 270 hectares and designed for about 148,000 residents, the project is expected to expand Hanoi’s development space to the south.
In addition, Hoa Phat is part of the investor consortium for the Red River scenic boulevard project, which has total investment of nearly VND 737 trillion and covers more than 11,400 hectares.
How is Hoa Phat using clean energy in production?
Since 2025, Hoa Phat has been rolling out large-scale solar power projects across the Group as part of its efforts to improve energy self-sufficiency, optimize operating costs, and green its production for sustainable development.
At the Hoa Phat Dung Quat steel integrated production complex, the Group is investing VND 600 billion in a solar power project with a designed capacity of 79.2 MWp. The project consists of five phases and is now in Phase 3, with a capacity of 26.8 MWp. Scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2027, it is expected to generate more than 115 million kWh of clean electricity and cut CO2 emissions by more than 78,000 tonnes a year.
The Group is also developing solar power projects at its member companies, including Hoa Phat Coated Steel, with a capacity of 4,159 kWp and about 17% self-sufficiency in production electricity; Hoa Phat Long An Steel Products, with a capacity of 7 million kWp and about 50% of production electricity demand met; and Hoa Phat Dong Nai Animal Feed, with a capacity of 1,250 kWp and 40% self-sufficiency in production electricity.
The Group also plans to contribute VND 600 billion to lay the groundwork for the Hau River offshore wind power project in Can Tho, which aims to generate electricity from renewable sources such as wind and solar. The project has planned capacity of up to 20,000 MW and total investment of VND 1.5 quadrillion.
Hoa Phat Group (HPG) is Southeast Asia’s largest steel producer, with annual capacity of 16 million tonnes. For 2026, the Group targets revenue of VND 210 trillion and profit after tax of VND 22 trillion. In the first six months of the year, it recorded revenue of VND 108.87 trillion and profit after tax of VND 15.48 trillion, up 47% and 103%, respectively, from the same period in 2025. With these results, Hoa Phat has achieved 52% of its annual revenue target and 70% of its annual profit target.
