Hoa Phat exports 8,000 tonnes of galvanized steel coils to Japan, expanding international market

Hoa Phat Steel Sheet Co., Ltd has successfully exported an order of approximately 8,000 tonnes of galvanized steel coils to Japan in the fourth quarter of 2026, marking an important step in its international market expanding strategy and demonstrating the competitiveness of its products in one of the world’s most demanding markets for quality standards.

The shipment complies with Japan’s JIS G 3302 standard and meets stringent requirements for specifications, spangle-free coating surfaces, and surface treatment using Chromium 3+ or environmentally friendly chromium-free technology. The products are accompanied by Vietnamese certificates of origin (C/O), enabling customers to benefit from applicable preferential tariffs.

In early 2026, Hoa Phat Steel Sheet officially received JIS certification from JICQA (JIC Quality Assurance Ltd.), a reputable Japanese certification organization, for its cold-rolled steel, galvanized steel coils, aluminum-zinc alloy-coated steel, and color-coated steel products. This important milestone recognizes the company’s manufacturing capabilities, quality control system, and ability to meet international technical standards, paving the way for further cooperation and growth in markets with stringent quality requirements. 

In March 2026, Hoa Phat Steel Sheet officially received JIS certification from JICQA (JIC Quality Assurance Ltd.) for its cold-rolled steel, galvanized steel coils, aluminum-zinc alloy-coated steel, and color-coated steel sheet products. 

Equipped with European production lines with a total design capacity of up to 600,000 tonnes per year, Hoa Phat Steel Sheet offers a diverse product portfolio, including pickled steel coils, cold-rolled steel coils, galvanized steel coils, aluminum-zinc alloy-coated steel coils, and color-coated steel sheet. 

Following its first order to Japan, the company plans to further promote exports of other strategic products, expand cooperation with international partners, and effectively tap into high-potential markets. 

To date, Hoa Phat Steel Sheet products have reached 29 countries and territories across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Oceania. 

In the first nine months of 2026, Hoa Phat Steel Sheet recorded sales volume of 307,000 tonnes, maintaining its position among Vietnam’s top five largest coated steel producers. Exports accounted for 29.8% of total sales volume. 

To date, Hoa Phat Steel Sheet products have reached 29 countries and territories across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Oceania. The company’s successful entry into the Japanese market opens up new growth opportunities and further strengthens the Hoa Phat Steel Sheet brand in the international market.
