Hoa Phat Group handed over the container batch to Vietnam Maritime Corporation

On October 15, 2023, Hoa Phat Group handed over a batch of newly built containers to Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC). This is the first shipment that Hoa Phat Group supplied to VIMC from its container factory in the expanded Phu My II Industrial Park in Phu My Town, southern Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.

The handover ceremony was attended by the Board of Directors of Hoa Phat Container Manufacturing Joint Stock Company and representatives of Vietnam Maritime Corporation.

According to Mr. Vu Duc Sinh, Director of Hoa Phat Container Manufacturing Joint Stock Company, this is the first shipment delivered at Vietnam Maritime Corporation's Tan Thuan Port. VIMC is a big corporation with a system of ports and exploitation centers across the country. The two sides hope to continue to cooperate in supplying container products following the first shipment in the near future. With the most currently advanced equipment and technology, the company is committed to providing the market with container products that meet international standards as well as the needs of the shipping industry.

Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Maritime Corporation, highly appreciated Hoa Phat's container shipment in terms of both appearance and technical quality. Mr. Tuan also shared that it was very difficult to buy containers despite of their high demand. When Hoa Phat Group produces this special product, VIMC feels more secure, thanks to proactive supply in the country.

Earlier, in early August 2023, Hoa Phat Container Manufacturing Joint Stock Company also held a handover ceremony of 100 20-foot containers with New Way Lines Co., Ltd. and the first container shipment to Vietsun. The company's products also received attention and orders from a series of major partners in the transportation and rental services industry at the International Container Exhibition, held in the Netherlands on October 10-12, 2023.

Hoa Phat’s container factory has a total capacity of 500,000 TEU a year, focusing on popular container products from 20-40 feet. Of which, the first phase with an annual capacity of 200,000 TEU has been completed and put into operation. With this capacity, Hoa Phat Group is the largest container manufacturer in Vietnam as well as in Southeast Asia.
