Hoa Phat sells more than 10.3 million tons of steel in nine months, up 39% year over year

In the third quarter of 2026, Hoa Phat Group produced 3.7 million tons of crude steel, up 3% from the previous quarter. Sales of construction steel, high-quality wire rod, hot-rolled coil and steel billets totaled 3.8 million tons, increasing 8% from Q2 and 54% from Q3 2025. 

In Q3, sales of construction steel and high-quality wire rod exceeded 1.3 million tons, up 2% from Q2 and 26% year over year. Steel billet sales reached 383,000 tons, an increase of 42% from the previous quarter.

Hot-rolled coil (HRC) accounted for the largest sales volume, exceeding 2 million tons in Q3, up 8% from Q2 and 64% year over year. Exports represented 24.6% of the total. Hoa Phat has exported HRC to 26 countries and territories. 

The Group also supplied 228,000 tons of steel pipe, 118,000 tons of coated steel and nearly 64,500 tons of prestressing steel. 

In the first nine months of 2026, Hoa Phat produced 10.7 million tons of crude steel, up 35% from the same period in 2025. Sales of HRC, construction steel, high-quality wire rod and steel billets reached 10.3 million tons, an increase of 39% year over year.

Construction steel and high-quality wire rod sales exceeded 4 million tons, up 15%. Steel billet sales reached 811,000 tons, an increase of 69%. HRC sales totaled 5.47 million tons, up 59%, and accounted for more than half of Hoa Phat’s total steel sales volume.

In the first nine months of 2026, the Group recorded steel pipe sales of 681,000 tons, up 9% from the same period in 2025

For downstream steel products, the Group recorded steel pipe sales of 681,000 tons, up 9%; coated steel sales of more than 307,000 tons, down 4%; and prestressing steel sales of more than 192,000 tons, up 66% from the same period in 2025. 

Hoa Phat Group currently has an annual crude steel production capacity of 16 million tons, the largest in Southeast Asia. More than 60% of its output consists of high-quality steel used in mechanical engineering, automotive manufacturing, shipbuilding, oil and gas, home appliances, steel structures, energy and railways.
