Hoa Phat Secures Certification to Export Prestressing Steel Strand to Poland

Poland's Building Research Institute (ITB) has granted certification for Hoa Phat's prestressing steel strand (PC Strand). The certification enables Hoa Phat to supply the product to a full range of customers in Poland for bridge, road and civil construction projects without any restriction. 

ITB found that the quality control system at Hoa Phat's plant fully complies with Europe's stringent inspection requirements, ensuring consistent product quality. The assessment and certification were conducted in accordance with Poland's National Technical Assessments ITB-KOT-2026/3038 and IBDiM-KOT-2026/1205. 

The ITB certification affirms the quality and international competitiveness of Hoa Phat's prestressing steel strand. It provides an important foundation for Hoa Phat PC Strand to expand across Europe, particularly in Poland, by supplying partners and projects in transport infrastructure, bridges, roads and civil construction. 

Hoa Phat's prestressing steel strand is supplied to major projects 

PC Strand is a high-strength steel product widely used in concrete structures such as bridge girders, apartment floor slabs and long-span structures. Hoa Phat's key advantage lies in its integrated production process and upstream quality control.

With annual PC Strand capacity of 250,000 tonnes, Hoa Phat is the only company in Vietnam producing prestressing steel strand on an Italian technology line. Its integrated production chain, from steel billet to finished product, enables consistent quality, a secure supply and compliance with European standards EN 10138 and Y1860S7, meeting the requirements of major projects.

In Vietnam, Hoa Phat PC Strand has been used in a number of major projects, including Hanoi Capital Region Ring Road 4, which provides interprovincial connectivity. It is also being used in Phu Quoc projects serving APEC, including the APEC Convention and Exhibition Center, the access road to the expanded airport terminal, and the Phu Quoc light rail transit (LRT) line. The planned LRT will run parallel to DT.975, the island's main thoroughfare, directly linking Phu Quoc International Airport with the Convention and Exhibition Center and the hotel complex serving APEC 2027 in the south of the island. 

In addition to the domestic market, Hoa Phat's prestressing steel strand is now available in a number of markets worldwide, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan.
