Hoa Phat Home Appliances earns TÜV SÜD CB Certification for induction cooktop, towards export markets

On September 25, 2026, Hoa Phat Ha Nam Home Appliances Joint Stock Company received CB certification from TÜV SÜD for its Funiki induction cooktop models. The company also signed a memorandum of understanding with TÜV SÜD Vietnam Co., Ltd. on testing, certification, and access to international markets, supporting its plans to expand into OEM/ODM manufacturing and exports.

Mr. Lionel Montarges, Vice President of Product Services at TÜV SÜD Vietnam Co., Ltd., said: “The CB certification awarded to these induction cooktop models follows an independent assessment against internationally recognized IEC safety standards, confirming that the products meet all applicable technical and safety requirements. Under the memorandum of understanding signed today, TÜV SÜD will work alongside Hoa Phat on testing, certification, and market-access procedures, opening opportunities for Vietnam-made products to enter a wider range of international markets.”

The certified products include Funiki single- and double-burner induction cooktops manufactured at the Hoa Phat Home Appliances Ha Nam Factory. TÜV SÜD completed the testing and issued the certification on August 25, 2026, in accordance with IEC 60335-1, which sets general safety requirements for household electrical appliances, and IEC 60335-2-9, which covers particular safety requirements for cooking appliances, together with the relevant amendments. 

CB certification is issued under the IECEE CB Scheme, an international conformity-assessment program for electrical and electronic equipment and components based on IEC standards. More than 50 countries currently participate in the scheme. CB certificates and test reports serve as a basis for product assessment in member countries, helping simplify procedures and shorten the time required to enter new markets. 

Before the induction cooktops, Hoa Phat water purifier models received CB certification on January 19, 2025. Those products were also tested and certified by TÜV SÜD under IEC 60335-1 and the relevant amendments.

Under the memorandum of understanding, TÜV SÜD Vietnam will connect Hoa Phat with its global network of testing laboratories, certification bodies, and affiliated companies in multiple countries, depending on the needs of each market. The two parties will also exchange technical information, assign specialists, and jointly organize training programs and workshops on standards, regulations, testing, and certification.

Hoa Phat home appliances are developed and manufactured at the Hoa Phat Ha Nam Home Appliances Factory in Hoa Mac Industrial Park, Duy Tien Ward, Ninh Binh Province. The facility comprises four main areas: an assembly plant, a plastics workshop, a mechanical workshop, and a central warehouse. It has an annual production capacity of 1 to 1.5 million units. The production line uses Panasonic equipment and includes a cleanroom system designed to serve markets with stringent requirements.
