Hoa Phat’s poultry output exceeded 300 million eggs for the first time, launching pink shell chicken eggs

In 2023, the sales output of Hoa Phat Poultry Company Limited reached more than 300 million clean eggs for the first time, exceeding the whole year’s set plan by 10 per cent and increasing by more than 17 per cent compared to 2022. This result helped Hoa Phat reach the milestone of 300 million eggs 2 years ahead of target.

Optimize capacity and reach the output two years ahead set target

Hoa Phat Poultry Company Limited, a member of Hoa Phat Agriculture Corporation, is responsible for implementing projects focused on raising laying hens and supplying clean eggs to the market. In 2016, the group set a goal of producing 300 million chicken eggs per year by 2025. However, as of 2023, Hoa Phat Poultry Company has already achieved the goals assigned by the group.

Right from the start, the company made a strategic decision to invest systematically in improving the quality of parent breeds in order to have complete control over the source of parent stock. In the past year, the company has made efforts to optimizing flock productivity by increasing the number of chickens per flock and effectively managing the transition between flocks.

The company has also placed significant emphasis on training livestock technical team, who possess extensive experience in healthcare and enhancing reproductive productivity. It is worth noting that the team's expertise extends to managing the largest commercial herd scale in the North region.

Currently, the Hoa Phat Poultry Company Limited has widely supplied chicken egg products in supermarkets, schools, kitchens, industrial parks, restaurants, hotels, resort complexes etc. Hoa Phat’s chicken eggs have initially been exported to some countries such as Laos and Cambodia.

In August 2023, the company deployed the Hy-Line Sonia breed, a pink egg-laying chicken, imported from the US. Mr. Le Tuan Anh, Director of Hoa Phat Poultry Company Limited, said that this is a chicken breed with outstanding laying rate, high survival ability, low food consumption, and good chicken condition throughout the reproduce cycle, bringing high economic value.

Hy-Line Sonia chickens laying pink eggs are imported from the US. They have an outstanding laying rate, high survival ability, and low food consumption.

In early 2024, the company officially provided to the market a product line of pink shell chicken eggs called "Hoa Phat Smile", helping consumers have more choices for fresh, clean and safe eggs.

The eggs have a pink cream color, 100% of the ingredients are fresh, nutritious chicken eggs. Although the egg size is somewhat smaller than HPE chicken eggs, the yolk is larger, suitable for Vietnamese consumers' tastes. Egg quality is strictly managed by a closed process from the farm to the finished products for customers.

With the motto "Happy chickens, fresh eggs", Hoa Phat Smile chicken eggs meet the 3-NO criteria: No anti-biotic residue, no growth hormone, no samonella. The egg has high nutritional content, containing 11-15% protein, 7-14% lipids, 300-550mg/kg calcium, reaching 40-60g weight each.

“The pink shell chicken eggs are packaged in well-insulated paper boxes, in line with green consumption trends, easy to recycle, and environmentally friendly. The product is divided into two lines according to egg size: 55-60g/egg and 45-50g/egg. The company hopes this new product will bring joy and peace of mind to consumers," Mr. Tuan Anh added.

Hoa Phat's laying hen farm and egg products have achieved VietGapHP, ISO 9001:2015, HACCP standard certificates, ensuring food safety standards. All egg boxes have QR codes for traceability, helping customers check information and feel secure when using Hoa Phat chicken egg products.

In 2024, Hoa Phat Poultry Company aims to maintain the output level achieved in 2023, while improving the skills of livestock engineers to increase the laying rate as well as prolong the laying peak for the entire herd. Regarding sales strategy, the company will expand its distributor and agent system nationwide, especially in the Southern region.
