First Container contract between Hoa Phat and Touax Container Leasing

On October 1^st , 2025, Hoa Phat delivered its first order to Touax Container Leasing Pte Ltd, a leading container leasing company with a history of more than 40 years. This batch of products was manufactured according to Touax Container’s specific technical requirements.

Touax Container’s order was designed with numerous details tailored for practical operations. The 40-foot high-cube version is equipped with three high-hand locking bars, doors fitted with anti-theft lockboxes, and fork lift pockets for safe handling in depots. Each container is fitted with 12 vents—far exceeding standard configurations—allowing better airflow and reducing the risk of mold during cargo storage.

Speaking at the handover, Mr. Marco Poggio from Touax Container Leasing Pte Ltd noted: "Always seeking for alternative and innovative solutions for our customers, we are proud to be among the first partners of Hoa Phat and we consider this order as the first step of a long and successful collaboration".

We engaged in practical exchanges to finalize the production design, while also carrying out ISO tests to ensure quality and operational efficiency."

To meet ISO standards and Touax Container’s requirements, Hoa Phat’s engineering team reinforced load-bearing areas, adjusted welding and painting processes to control durability, weld quality, and coating performance. The company also improved jigs, welding robot programs, and painting robots to increase precision and optimize productivity.

Hoa Phat’s container plant currently has a Phase 1 capacity of 200,000 TEU/year, with labor productivity steadily increasing month by month. The plant has partially localized hot-rolled SPA-H steel supply from the Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex, while maintaining strong control over raw materials and shortening lead times. Its location near Cai Mep deep-sea port, major depots, and industrial zones also provides favorable conditions for transport and delivery.

Hoa Phat Container is currently the only manufacturer in Vietnam producing containers to international standards. With extensive industrial manufacturing experience, its integrated management system—from raw materials to finished products—allows Hoa Phat to optimize costs and maintain full control over production. Investments in painting technology, welding lines, and technical inspection systems ensure durability, corrosion resistance, and long service life, suitable for long-term operations.

Hoa Phat and Touax carry out the handover of the first containers of the batch

Hoa Phat containers have received positive feedback from many international customers. Shipping lines and leasing companies highly value the consistency in quality, welds, coatings, and delivery schedules. After visiting the plant and inspecting product samples, Touax Container praised the synchronization of the production line and its ability to meet international container standards. The trial batch fully met operational requirements, reinforcing Touax Container’s confidence in Hoa Phat’s manufacturing capacity and expressing the intention to expand cooperation further. Hoa Phat has also supplied containers to leading global shipping and logistics companies such as Hapag-Lloyd and CMA CGM, affirming the quality of “Made in Vietnam” products in demanding markets.

The international container market is showing signs of recovery as demand for fleet renewal and logistics services rises again. With current output, Hoa Phat expects to meet partners’ needs, especially as Vietnam’s exports continue to grow. The company aims to expand relationships with shipping lines and leasing companies in Asia, Europe, and the US, while diversifying its product range to increase market share in the global container supply chain.
