Welcome the first iron batch of Hoa Phat Iron Steel Production Complex

At 18h30 on February 07th 2009 in Hoa Phat Iron steel production Complex - Hiep Son Commune, Kinh Mon district, Hai Duong province, the first iron line has been launched in the merriness of all staffs of Hoa Phat Steel JSC.

Iron refining Factory was built on an area of 15 ha, the iron producing chain with the furnace capacity 350 m3, designed capacity of 350,000 tons of pig iron per year, high level of automation from the material distribution to cast iron stage. After two weeks of drying furnace, ore, coke coal and support content was loaded and officially implemented to start the first oven. After 10 hours the first product will be appeared. But when the factory operates stably, the next batch of pig iron just takes only 2 hours. Working time of employees is divided by three shifts to ensure the continuous operation of the furnace 24h/24h.

Mr. Dang Thanh Cam - Director of Hoa Phat Steel JSC said: "For the first iron batch, we have spent over two years, especially in the period of many months of hard working. Sometimes we thought it unable to finish as expected, but with determination and effort of all staff to complete their work, the first iron batch of the Complex was born."

While Vietnam has to import up to 80% of pig iron every year, Iron factory of Hoa Phat Steel JSC with 350,000 tons of iron per year is praiseworthy for the iron steel production factories in the country in general and Hoa Phat Iron and Steel Production Complex in particular. After stable operation, furnace achieving designed capacity will contribute to supplying 100% demand on embryo for the steel mill Factory.
