South Korean steel producers want to co-operate with Hoa Phat Group

South Korean business delegation including 12 companies in the construction steel, steel pipe, pipe spare part, galvanised steel etc on November 8^th 2017 had a working with Hoa Phat Group to exchange and seeking for investment and co-operation opportunities.

Mr. Tran Tuan Duong - Hoa Phat’s general director, Mr. Hoang Duc Thuan – director of Hoa Phat Steel Sheet One Member Company, Mrs. Do Hai Yen – deputy director of Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Company Ltd and Mrs. Nguyen Thi To Hoai – deputy director of Hoa Phat Steel One Member Ltd.

General director Mr. Tran Tuan Duong appreciated visit of the South Korean delegation to Hoa Phat Group. He also introduced the group’s operation. Hoa Phat has been in the Top 10 biggest firms in Viet Nam with ownership capital of US$1.5 billion and capitalisation in the stock market of $2.5 billion.

Hoa Phat is leading the market in construction steel and steel pipes in Vietnam, of which its construction steel capacity is 2 million tonnes a year, accounting for 24 per cent of market share; steel pipes with a capacity of over 600,000 tonnes a year, accounting for about 27 per cent of market share. The galvanized steel factory with a capacity of 400,000 tonnes per year will supply products to the market in early 2018. Particularly, Hoa Phat is building the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Integrated Steel Complex in the central region with capacity of 4 million tonnes per year. Hoa Phat's steel products have been exported to some markets such as the US, Canada, Australia, South East Asia…

South Korean enterprises expected to enhance business co-operation with Hoa Phat Group. Specifically, Mr. Sang Hybu Lee, a representative from Jung Min Steel Company paid much attention to Hoa Phat’s galvanized steel coils. A representative of G.S ACE Industry Co., Ltd, Mr. HanJin Pipe wanted to import steel pipe and steel billet for production.

Mr. Tran Tuan Duong sent his thank to South Korean firms for their visit to Hoa Phat Group. He expected that Hoa Phat Group and South Korean companies would have opportunities to co-operation in the upcoming time.

Earlier, South Korean steel companies contacted with Hoa Phat Group to seek for co-operation opportunities through Vietnamese trade counsellor in South Korea.
