Phase 2 of the steel integrated complex: Ensuring the progress of testing equipment by early June

Hundreds of employees of the contractors have been trying their best no matter it’s day or night to deploy the items of Hoa Phat steel integrated complex. As a result, many items are about to be put into cold test run by early June, sticking to schedule.

The foundation item has completed 100% of the workload. Some items have completed installation equipment including coal tank, coal gas cluster and lump coal presses. Contractors are now installing equipment for the Hoa Phat steel factory No. 3 (belong to the second stage), sintered area, cooling loop 110m2,  the product screen, mixer 1…. These items are expected to be put on trial in May.

Blast furnace - the most important item and also the heart of project, completed the furnace shell, a cooling wall and expected to run trial by early June. A number of ancillary items such as the hot draft furnace Kalozin, lime kiln 300 tons /day are being installed fire brick and prepared to dry furnace in May. In addition, for steel refining mill, converter is about to be completed and will be also run trial on the occasion of April 30.

Mr. Mai Van Ha, Director of Hoa Phat Steel Joint Stock Company, said: "To ensure the progress of project, we have chosen the contractors who have good experience and human and material resources, ... and required them to construct and install quipment in the Lunar New Year holiday. On the other hand, the Company has prepared the financial and human resources along times ago, ensuring fastest from purchase of materials, make payment to the contractor, recruite employee to serve our production after everything’s completed".

All staffs of Hoa Phat Steel Joint Stock Company and the contractors are confident that the phase 2’s project will be completed as scheduled, ensuring the progress of cold test of all items by early June 2013 and officially put into production by July 2013, bringing this complex to become the first steel integrated and synchronized complex in Vietnam.
