July 2010: Hoa Phat Steel consumption reaches more than 62,000 tons

In July 2010, Hoa Phat Steel consumption reached 62,100 tons, exceeded by 30.4% in comparison with the consumption of June. It continues to play an important role in the multi – industry business of Hoa Phat Group.  

According to Vietnam Steel Association, steel consumption in June increased 25% in comparison with the previous month and Hoa Phat Steel achieved 30% growth in the same period, maintaining the position of one of three steel companies which have the highest market share nationwide.

According to the General Statistics Office, industrial production in the first six months of 2010 reached 13.6% in comparison with the same period in 2009, in which the construction sector has growth significantly, reaching 23.8% in comparison with the same period in 2009. The strong recovery of construction market up to Quarter II of 2010 helps to maintain good growth for the steel consumption of the Group.

In addition, encouraging policies on investment in the key national projects of the Government, construction materials have many advantages for recovery and development. The construction season is beginning and it will promise of much stronger growth for the Hoa Phat Steel in the coming time.
