Hoa Phat’s steel sales posts 33 per cent year-on-year hike

In April, Hoa Phat’s construction steel sales reached 236,000 tonnes, representing 33 per cent year-on-year increase. The increasing number of new constructions nationwide has made the group’s steel sale higher. Its export volume also rose by four times from the same period last year to more than 17,000 tonnes.

With products of the rolled steel in the first phase of Dung Quat Hoa Phat iron and steel integrated complex, its steel sales in the southern region was 3.5 times higher than the corresponding period last year. Sales in the central and Central Highlands regions were also double than those of last year.

According to Mr Do Minh Quy, director of Hoa Phat Construction Steel Company’s branch in HCM City, steel sales were increased in both civil construction and property projects. The branch has promote to expand its distribution and agent system with best sale policies and receiving positive responses from customers. It was the reason that Hoa Phat’s market share of construction steel in the southern region has been sharply increased.

In the first four months of the year, Hoa Phat sold 933,626 tonnes of construction steel to the market, increasing 29.7 per cent from the same period last year. Of which, its export volume reached nearly 95,000 tonnes, posting 22 per cent year-on-year rise.
