Hoa Phat’s construction steel hiked 28.5%

In May, construction steel of Hoa Phat hit the market 228,000 tonnes, up 28.5 per cent over the same period last year as well as April 2018. While many countries strengthen trade remedies, Hoa Phat Steel continues to be exported with the high output of nearly 10,000 tonnes.

Notably, with top quality, Hoa Phat Steel was selected for the construction of the first underground metro project in Ha Noi. On May 15^th, Hoa Phat completed the first cargo of 2,000 tonnes of rebar from D10 to D40, grade B500B, British standard.

For the export market, Hoa Phat maintains the export output of about 10 per cent of total output. Since the beginning of the year, 87,600 tonnes of construction steel has been exported to ASEAN, Australia, the US and Canada. This figure increased 32 per cent over the same period last year.

The above output is a great effort of Hoa Phat, because Hoa Phat has stopped the blast furnace No 2 – Hoa Phat Steel Complex to upgrade and maintain the equipment line during two months (from the end of March to the end of May 2018).

According to the forecast of Hoa Phat Steel, sales volume in June will be better than in May.
