Hoa Phat Steel Pipe takes the 2nd ISO 9001:2000 supervising assessment

On November 18th 2008, Det Norske Vertas organization (the DNV) took the 2nd  supervising assessment of ISO 9001:2000 standard at Hoa PhatSteel Pipe Company to confirm the validity of the remaining system, review the existing system’s changes and confirm the appropriateness with the standard’s requirements.

Right after determining the assessment scale and standard, explaining the assessment method and the report method to the Board of Directors, the Division’s managers, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nam – the international chief of assessment specialist together with the specialists group took assessment in the Company’s departments and the Factory’s divisions.

At the meeting, the DNV’s specialist made agreement with the Board of Directors and the Division’s managers some existing shortcomings in the system. “Currently, ISO 9001:2000 management system of the Company has run effectively, the last assessment’s shortcomings are overcame and don’t exist in this assessment. In comparison with the August internal assessment, the Company has great efforts, the internal assessment specialist’s ability is much improved. Many points of the system are appropriate with the standard’s requirement”, said Mr. Nam. To remain the management system effectively, the Company’s leaders will base on this assessment result to find out the necessary corrective actions for their management.

After this assessment, the Company’s Board of the Directors and Division’s managers will find out the solutions to overcome and prevent the shortcomings in the process of assessment to ensure the appropriateness of the system, completing the process, enhance the management effectiveness of all the divisions and improve the products’ quality.
