Hoa Phat Steel pipe sales reached 260,000 tonnes in five months

In the first five months of 2018, Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Co., Ltd achieved sales volume of 259,700 tonnes, an increase of 17 per cent over the same period last year. Hoa Phat steel pipe continues to confirm its leading position with a market share of 27.23 per cent.

The recovery of real estate projects, the increasing demand for using steel pipes and outstanding quality and prestige brand were the factors that help the company achieve the high sale. Sales volume in the North and the South in May alone recorded the highest level ever with more than 26,000 tonnes and over 20,000 tonnes respectively.

Large construction contractors such as Hoa Binh Group, Coteccons ... always give priority to use Hoa Phat's products as building materials (including construction steel and steel pipes). Notably, Hoa Phat's large-sized black-welded steel pipe was selected for the VINFAST automobile factory in Hai Phong City.

According to the Vietnam Steel Association, production and sales of steel products in the past five months have grown well over the same periods in the last 3 years. Specifically, steel pipe manufacturing companies produced 975,618 tonnes, up 15 per cent over the same period of 2017 and nearly 40 per cent from 2016. Sales reached nearly 954,000 tonnes, up 14.8 per cent over 2017 and 28.9 per cent compared to 2016.
