Hoa Phat steel led the sales volume in February

Right the first month after Lunar New Year holiday, Hoa Phat steel rose to lead the market in sales volume in February with nearly 60,000 tons, of which the central and southern region reached more than 7,300 tons.

According to the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), construction steel consumption in 2/2012 reached 389,000 tons, increased at 66% compared to the previous month. With above result, Hoa Phat steel accounted for 15% of the total market consumption, leading in market share for the first time.

Different from the late year of 2011, last month, steel consumption of civil area strongly increased, accounting for 55% of total consumption of Hoa Phat steel.
