Hoa Phat Steel in Sai Gon: many big orders

From the beginning of the year to now, Ho Chi Minh Branch of Hoa Phat Group JSC has continuously received many big orders, especially in March. This is the signal to show that Hoa Phat has gradually conquered this eventful market.

From beginning of the year, Hoa Phat Steel has contributed to the big-scale projects and works in Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City such as Sonadezi Building – Vung Tau Interjection, Bau Sen Hotel – Vung Tau, Samland new urban – Binh Thanh, Cai Mep Port – Vung Tau, head office of Ho Chi Minh Police Department – District 1, Rach Chiec Bridge – District 2, Giong Ong To Bridge – District 2, etc. The steel consumption in 3 months of the first Quarter is 12,500 tons, 8 times higher than the same period last year. The Agent level 1 including C&T Company and Fico Company have always been the most effective distributors of Hoa Phat Steel in the Southern projects.

In the early April 2010, the Branch cooperated with C&T Company to continuously provide 2,500 tons for PosCo E&C- SAMWHAH JV to use for Cai Mep Port (Vung Tau) and 4000 tons for Wharf No 3 (Sai Gon Port – Hiep Phuoc) for Waterway Construction Corporation.

These big-scale projects were approved by the Government with the total investment capital up to ten thousands billion VND, contributing to the international standard port system. Cai Mep Port has been constructed within 4 years (2008-2012) and Sai Gon Port – Hiep Phuoc is expected to accomplish its first period in 2014. In addition, many other projects has been used Hoa Phat Steel.

Although the steel consumption in the South is not too much, with superior competitiveness of Hoa Phat Steel as well as other products of the Group, including furniture, steel pipe, construction equipment, refrigeration engineering, Southern market will significantly contribute to the revenue proportion of the whole Group in the future.
