Hoa Phat Steel applies SAP management system

Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company – a member of Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Company on January 1^st 2019 officially put SAP Business Suite 4 HANA (SAP S/4 HANA) into operation to management of all production and business activities at Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Integrated Complex.

SAP S/4HANA is a business suite that is built on SAP's proprietary operational database system and in-memory computing platform called SAP HANA. This will help the system extract data in real time. SAP S/4HANA system was officially put into operation after seven months of implementation. This is the key management project of the cand its partner, CITEK. It is the reason that top leaders of the two parties participated throughout the implementation process to ensure the plan’s progress and quality to build advanced management processes.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Mai Van Ha, Director of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company said that in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the decision to choose SAP ERP S/4HANA shows strong determination of the Hoa Phat Group and the company in applying modern management methods to operate the large-scale complex with a capacity of more than 4 million tonnes of steel per year, contributing to support management and transparency information in the production process.

Ms. Josephin Galla, General Director of SAP Vietnam, emphasised that this was a great effort of relevant parties to put SAP S/4HANA project into operation.

This is the best ERP solution in the region for steel companies. SAP and CITEK will accompany Hoa Phat to bring SAP system into effective and long-term operation successfully.

With the overall ERP solution, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel has an international standard management system with real-time production and business data, readying indicators of business performance, helping management board make quick decisions.

The system also helps enterprises respond to unplanned situations, incidents, efficient use of production tools to reduce costs and increase competitiveness.

The Hoa Phat Group would study to implement the solution to other member companies after effectively deploying the SAP system at Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company
