Hoa Phat Steel accounted for 14.3% market share in April

Although the production and consumption of steel haven’t got obvious changes, Hoa Phat steel output reached higher sales compared to the whole sector with 60,700 tons. Specifically, the market share of Hoa Phat steel has increased by 14.3%.

Generally 4 months, Hoa Phat steel consumption reached nearly 218,000 tons. The South and Central areas had good signal of sales volume growth, contributing to increasing market share for Hoa Phat steel last month. Many large projects in these regions have used Hoa Phat steel such as Tan Son Nhat - Binh Loi ring, Cai Mep port, Nam Can bridge (the the West area of Vietnam), Rach Chiec bridge, overpassing system in Ho Chi Minh City,  largest hydroelectric projects in central, ....

As reported by the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), total construction steel output in April fell 5.28% over the same period in 2012 and down 6.7% from the previous month. Total quantity of steel sold in the first 4 months of VSA members reached more than 1.5 million tons, down 3.79%. In contrast to construction steel, steel pipe sales volume of VSA members in the first 4 months has increased by 20.2% compared to the same period last year.
