Hoa Phat Group received attention of investors at Emerging Vietnam 2019 Conference

Hoa Phat Group on June 12th 2019 attended the Emerging Vietnam 2019 Conference. The conference was organised by HCM Securities Corporation (HSC) in HCM City, attracting attention and participation of 50 leading firms in Viet Nam and 300 foreign investors worldwide.

This annual event aimed to connect Vietnamese businesses with investors from many countries such as the US, UK, EU, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand. Many investment funds with asset under management (AUM) value of US$100 million to $100 billion also attended the event.

Meeting with investors, Ms Pham Thi Kim Oanh – Chief finance officer of Hoa Phat Group provided updates on the company’s development, solutions and answering questions from investors on profit margin, operation sectors, progress of Hoa Phat Dung Quat iron and steel integrated complex, prices of materials and issues relating to taxes.

Hoa Phat Group listed on HCM Stock Exchange (HOSE) in 2007. With 11 member companies, Hoa Phat has been one of leading multi-sector groups in Viet Nam. Starting from a company specilising in wholesale of construction machines in August 1992, Hoa Phat has gradually expanded its operation to other sectors including interior, steel pipe, construction steel, refrigerator, real estate and hi-tech agriculture. By the end of May 2019, Hoa Phat has 20,000 employees, operating in 25 cities and provinces nationwide and having a representative office in Singapore. Its chartered capital reached VND27.6 trillion and total assets of nearly VND90 trillion.

Hoa Phat Group currently holds the No 1 market share in Vietnam in the areas of construction steel, steel pipes, office furniture and high quality Australian beef. In the past 10 years, Hoa Phat's total contribution to the State budget was about VND26.8 trillion. It is often in the Top 20 businesses contributing most to the State budget.
