Hoa Phat Group awarded Top 10 most famous brands in Vietnam 2020

On August 26, 2020 in Hanoi, Vietnam Intellectual Property Association and the National Office of Intellectual Property formally organized an announcement of the award of Vietnam Famous Brand - Competitive Brand 2020. Hoa Phat Group was honoured in the “Top 10 most famous brands in Vietnam 2020”.

Established in the market in 1992, Hoa Phat Group is one of the leading private groups in Vietnam with 11 member companies, mainly operating in five industrial sectors including: Construction steel, Steel pipe and galvanized, Agriculture, other manufacturing industries and Real Estate. The group’s core industrial sector is construction steel, accounting for over 80 per cent of its revenue and profit. Hoa Phat construction steel and steel pipe take the No 1 position in both production and market share in Vietnam.

In the first half of the year, Hoa Phat Group reached a revenue of VND40.1 trillion and after-tax profit of VND5.06 trillion, representing 29 per cent and 31 per cent year-on-year increases respectively. The group completed 47 per cent of revenue target and 56 per cent of after-tax profit target in comparison with its business plans in 2020 approved at its shareholders meeting in the end of June.

Hoa Phat Group has also been honoured in many prestigious programmes such as: National Brand, Strong Brand, Top 10 Vietnamese Golden Stars, Top 5 Largest Private Enterprises in Vietnam, Top 10 most prestigious listed enterprises, Top 50 effective enterprises, Top 50 most valuable brands in Vietnam etc for years.

Hoa Phat’s value is also presented via a lot of voluntary programmes and activities to demonstrate the corporate social responsibility for the community. Some typical programmes could be named as sponsoring poor children for congenital heart surgery; giving Tet’s presents for the disadvantaged; sponsoring scholarships for students, building bridges in the Mekong Delta provinces… The free meal for the poor patients provided approximately 400,000 meals in the past 10 years.

“Famous brand” is more valuable than an award. It is the appreciation of protected Vietnamese brands, which can compete with many international brands in the age of deep economic integration. Each company voted in the “Famous brand” has prestige and internal strength both domestic and international markets.
