Hoa Phat galvanized steel sheet factory won the championship for the second time

The final and closing ceremony of the 5th Hoa Phat Steel Company's football tournament in the north in 2017 took place at Minh Phuong football stadium, Nhu Quynh Town, Van Lam District, Hung Yen Province on September 17th. The Hoa Phat galvanized steel sheet factory defeated the Transport Team 1-0 and won the men's football championship.

Earlier, there was a third-place pay-off between the company's Office Team and the Hung Yen Steel Pipe Factory Team. For both teams, this was the second consecutive time they have met in the 2017 season. In the knock-out tournament, the two teams were in the same Group A, and in this round, the Office Team easily crossed the Hung Yen Steel Pipe Factory Team with the score of 5:0. In the third-place play-off, despite of a lot of effort, the factory team continued to lose the company office with a score of 0:4 and won the fourth place due to difference in qualification and physical strength.

The final match between Hoa Phat galvanized steel sheet factory and the Transport Team has the difference of both achievement and experience. The Hoa Phat galvanized steel sheet factory won the championship before and participated into final matches of the previous tournaments while the Transport Team was newly established.

However, the final was very dramatic with much fierce competition from the two players. Both teams struggled with multiple attacks on each other's goal. The Hoa Phat galvanized steel sheet factory won 1:0 thank to experience and the second time won the championship.

At the end of the tournament, there were 41 goals scored, of which the company's Office Team scored the most with 19 goals.They also contributed to the two most goals scored players including Ta Thanh Binh and Nguyen Van Cuong - each player scored six goals. The team has scored five golas in the season and did not concede a goal which deserved to win the championship.

Shortly after the match, the organizing board held a solemn closing ceremony, and presented awards to teams and individuals who had the best record of the season. Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thai Son said that in just the past three months, Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Company employees have been participating and witnessing a series of major events of the group. The fifth football tournament of Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Company 2017 is one of activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the group's establishment (1992-2017), 21 years of establishment of the company (1996-2017). The championship will be maintained in the coming time to create a useful playground for employees.
