Hoa Phat brings first phase of wire rod steel factory into operation

Hoa Phat Equipment and Accessories Company Ltd completed and brought into operation the first phase of the wire rod steel factory at Pho Noi A Industrial Park in Hung Yen Province. The factory is expected to completely replace imported wire rod steel. The project has total investment of more than VND100 billion which was equipped with the most advanced and synchronous production line.

In the first phase, the factory has capacity of 3,000 to 4,000 tonnes per month or around 40,000 tonnes per year. The factory has 9 wire rod lines, a galvanized line and an incubator system.

The first phase of Hoa Phat’s wire rod steel system supply products to the market

A great advantage of Hoa Phat is the completely active in rolled steel material for wire rod steel with low carbon steel, SAE 1008 according to ASTM A510/ A510M-13 standard as Hoa Phat Steel Complex in Hai Duong Province started to produce and supply this type of raw material for the production in October 2016.

With the large investment in technology and equipment, the galvanized wire rod steel of Hoa Phat has the highest galvanizing thickness in the market (from 400g per square metre of finished products). Hoa Phat Group has applied environmentally friendly technology to its production process. To ensure that zinc is covered evenly over the whole wire surface, the company is adopting the most modern technology, controlling zinc by natural gas system.

The process of producing black steel wire and hot dip galvanized steel wire follows ISO 9001: 2008 quality management system with an aim to supply the best quality steel wire for construction works, fence netting, B30 grid, B40 grid, barbed wire and gabion in the country as well as export.

 Hoa Phat will supply wire rod steel for the local market and exports

Hoa Phat’s wire rod steel was given certificates of TCVN, ASTM (the US), BSI (UK) and JISG (Japan) from Quality Assurance and Testing Centre 1 (Quacert 1) under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

In the first phase of the Hoa Phat wire rod steel factory was started its construction in the second quarter of 2017. The line was brought into operation six months later. The hot dip galvanized steel line is expected to have first product in the middle of December 2017.

The Hoa Phat Equipment and Accessories Company will invest into the second phase with the same capacity of 3,000 to 4,000 tonnes per month in 2018. Each phase is expected to bring revenue of VND500 to VND600 billion a year for the company as it come into operation.
