Hai Duong Province: Hoa Phat Group met all environment standards

The Central propaganda and training commission of Hai Duong Province in co-operation with the provincial Department of Information and Communications on April 6^th 2018 organised a press meeting to review activities last month. According to documents released by Kinh Mon District to media, all of environmental parameters at Hoa Phat Steel integrated Complex meet with allowable standards. In addition, Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Company has made efforts to improve their technologies to further improve environment protection.

Mr Le Van Bi, vice chairman of the Kinh Mon District People’s Committee said Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Company has fully implemented current regulations on industrial production, completing environmental protection works. In the beginning of 2018, Environment Police Department of Hai Duong Province co-operated with the Natural Resources and Environment Office to implement check-ups on waste at the complex. The results showed that all indexes met with allowable standards.

At the meeting with Kinh Mon District People’s Committee on April 3^rd 2018, the company’s representative reported about the instalment progress of the automatic monitoring system which is continuously connected to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment. Accordingly, Hoa Phat committed to complete the system before the deadline set by the General Department of Environment.

In addition, the Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Company has also invested around VND700 billion to change the wet stamping technology to dry stamping industry using Nitrogen gas. The line is expected to be completed by the year of 2019. This has been its efforts in improving technologies toward more friendly to the environment, enhancing electricity generation output serving for production at the Hoa Phat Steel integrated Complex.

The company complete a respond plan on oil spill incident causing by boats entering and leaving ports at the factory, oil and grease motors operating river port equipment as stated in the conclusion of the General Department of Environment on January 16^th 2018. The plan was submitted to the provincial People’s Committee, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment in 2017 and waiting for detail guiding document from the People’s Committee.

Mr Nguyen Hong Son, member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee cum head of the Central propaganda and training commission of Hai Duong Province asked media agencies to increase awareness on results gained at the province as well as solutions to create favourable conditions to businesses, especially private economic sector.
