In response to the Government's call, as well as the Vietnam Fatherland Front and various ministries' efforts to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by the end of 2025, Hoa Phat Group has pledged support for the construction of more than 1,500 homes for disadvantaged families across the country. Of these, 1,000 houses will be built in the provinces of Quang Ngai and Phu Yen, with the remaining homes in Tra Vinh and Soc Trang.

Hoa Phat Group’s Deputy General Director, Tran Thi Thu Hien, gave a total contribution of VND50 billion. This includes VND20 billion for Phu Yen Province and VND30 billion for Quang Ngai Province, which will be used to build 1,000 new homes and replace temporary and dilapidated structures in these two provinces.

According to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the country currently faces a shortage of more than 153,000 temporary and rundown houses. To address this, the Government is providing support of VND50 million per household for new construction and VND25 million for home repairs. The total estimated cost for eliminating these substandard homes nationwide is more than VND6.5 trillion, with a goal to complete the project by the end of 2025.

As part of this effort, the Government and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs launched the "Warm Homes for My Countrymen" campaign on October 5 to encourage contributions from businesses, organizations, and individuals. The initiative aims to ensure that every household has access to "3-hard" houses with hard roofs, floors, and walls.

Joining this national effort, Hoa Phat Group has donated VND50 billion, with VND20 billion allocated for Phu Yen Province and VND30 billion for Quang Ngai Province to support the construction of 1,000 homes and help eliminate substandard housing in these regions.

Earlier in 2024, the group contributed to the construction of 500 homes in the provinces of Tra Vinh and Soc Trang, providing support to households in need. As a result, Hoa Phat has committed to building a total of 1,500 homes for the poor in 2024, with a combined investment of nearly VND80 billion.

In addition, Hoa Phat has also provided VND8 billion to help build houses for the poor and victims of Agent Orange in Hung Yen province, and most recently, supported the reconstruction of 28 homes in Bat Xat, Lao Cai.

In the first 9 months of 2024, Hoa Phat contributed VND10 trillion to the State budget, a 65% increase over the same period last year. With operations across 26 provinces and cities, Hoa Phat remains committed to enhancing social welfare and building a prosperous future for all.
