Hoa Phat Group makes VND50 billion donation to COVID-19 vaccine fund

In response to the Prime Minister's call, on May 25, 2021, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - General Director of Hoa Phat Group donated VND50 billion to the COVID-19 vaccine purchase and inoculation fund.

At the ceremony to receive support from the Ministry of Health in the morning of May 25, 2021, Minister of Health - Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Long acknowledged and highly appreciated the donation of Hoa Phat Group and the business community. The minister emphasized that  since secured financial sources are of critical importance for carrying out strategies to achieve the fastest and most widespread access to COVID-19 vaccines, financial support from enterprises is very much necessary. It would help switch from defense to proactively attacking the pandemic, soon returning to normal life and developing the country's economy.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - General Director of Hoa Phat Group said that Hoa Phat always appreciates the efforts of the Government, the Ministry of Health as well as doctors and medical staff who have always worked hard to keep Vietnam safe from the pandemic, ensuring a stable production and business environment for the business community. “We look forward to participating in the contribution to support the Government's mass vaccination programme for the people,” Mr. Thang said.

Hoa Phat has donated VND77 billion to support ministries, sectors and localities to prevent and control the pandemic so far. Earlier, Hoa Phat Group donated VND27 billion to support the prevention of COVID-19 to the Ministry of Health, Central Tropical Hospital, K Hospital, Fatherland Front Committee in Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Hai Duong, Hung Yen and Bac Giang, as well as food and medical equipment etc.
