Hoa Phat Group contributes VND10 trillion to the State budget in 9 months

Despite facing challenges in the global steel market and weak domestic demand, Hoa Phat Group has made a significant contribution of VND10 trillion to the state budget in the first nine months of the year, representing a 65% increase compared to the same period last year. This achievement comes even as its member companies in the Northern region contend with the impacts of natural disasters and flooding.

During this period, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Company emerged as the largest contributor among the Group’s members, with total tax and fee payments - including import VAT, import-export tax, and domestic taxes - reaching nearly VND7.5 trillion.

Looking ahead, Hoa Phat Group anticipates its total budget payments will exceed VND15 trillion by the end of the year. With the completion of the Dung Quat 2 Phase II construction, the Group expects to contribute over VND20 trillion in 2025.

Notable contributors to the state budget from the Group include Hoa Phat Steel Pipe, Hoa Phat Refrigeration, Hoa Phat Urban Construction and Development, Hoa Phat Hung Yen Steel, and Hoa Phat Steel Sheet. The Group operates in 26 provinces and cities across the country, integrating its growth with community interests.

Committed to corporate social responsibility, Hoa Phat focuses on four main areas: Health, Education, Transportation, and Community. In the past nine months, the Group has initiated numerous charitable and social programs, such as constructing 300 charity houses in Tra Vinh, providing clean water by donating over 300 water purifiers to schools and medical facilities nationwide, and sponsoring the Binh Dong Primary School project in Quang Ngai with an investment of more than VN 40 billion. Additionally, it has contributed VND10 billion toward building a kindergarten in Dong Hy district, Thai Nguyen.

Hoa Phat Group continues to implement annual initiatives like "Heartbeat of Love," which sponsors heart surgeries for children in need, and "Godmother," which provides monthly food assistance to orphans.

Despite significant damage to its factories and farms in northern provinces such as Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Bac Giang, Thai Binh, Yen Bai, and Phu Tho caused by storms and floods, Hoa Phat Group has demonstrated its commitment to community support. In a spirit of solidarity, the Group has allocated tens of billions of Vietnamese dong to assist those severely affected by Storm Yagi. Additionally, it has actively participated in the initiative to replace temporary and dilapidated homes with "Warm Homes for My People," in response to the Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's call.

Over the past 32 years, Hoa Phat has experienced steady and effective growth, leading to an increasing contribution to the state budget. The Group has also received numerous accolades, including recognition as the largest private enterprise in Vietnam, a spot among the Top 50 most effective listed companies, and ranking as one of the Top 3 private enterprises contributing to the national budget, along with distinctions for strong and national branding.
