Hoa Phat Group brings “Spring of love” to 13 localities nationwide

Since mid-January 2022, Hoa Phat Group and its member companies have given nearly 6,000 Tet gifts to disadvantaged families and policy beneficiaries in many localities such as Quang Ngai, Hai Duong, Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Yen Bai, Ha Giang and Dong Nai etc.

Each gift worth VND500,000 including cash, necessities and confectionery was handed over by Hoa Phat Group’s employees under the witness of local leaders. The "Spring of love - Tet for the poor" is an annual programme implemented by Hoa Phat Group on the eve of the Lunar New Year, in order to demonstrate corporate social responsibility to the community. It would partly help the poor and disadvantaged groups in the localities have less difficulties and welcome Tet warmly and fully.

Among the localities implementing the “Spring of Love” programme, the Hoa Phat Group donates the most to Quang Ngai Province with nearly 2,600 gifts, worth about VND1.3 billion.

From January 15-20, 2022, Hoa Phat Group gave gifts to all of poor households in five communes of Binh Son District including Binh Dong, Binh Thuan, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc and Binh Tri. Particularly in Binh Thanh Commune, the company supports to give 50 gifts to poor households. In addition, Hoa Phat also gave gifts to households with boats, canoes and baskets in Tuyet Diem 1,2,3 Village of Binh Thuan Commune as well as households which have residential land belonging to the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Steel Integrated Complex project and the raw water supply project for the complex.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony in Binh Dong Commune, Mr. Vu Xuan Ha - Head of External Affairs Administration of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company said that the company currently has 13,600 employees with more than 94 per cent of the total are Quang Ngai people. Of which more than 52 per cent of the people belong to two communes of Binh Thuan and Binh Dong. Hoa Phat Group wishes to soon deploy and put the next projects into operation, promoting economic development of Quang Ngai Province in general and Binh Son District in particular.

In addition to creating jobs and a stable income for the local workforce, the company has always well implemented social security policies with many meaningful activities. The programme "Spring of love" is held every year to share with households in the area where Hoa Phat's projects and factories are located.

Mr. Ngo Van Dung - Vice Chairman of Binh Son District People's Committee, on behalf of the leaders and people of Binh Son District and communes received Tet gifts sent their thank to the group’s leaders and Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company. At the same time, the Vice Chairman also shared that Hoa Phat's project in Dung Quat Economic Zone has contributed to change the province’s economic landscape and creating jobs for a large number of workers in the area.
