Sales volume in the South increased by 41% in January

In January 2020, the two holidays of New Year and Lunar New Year have affected the consumption of construction steel enterprises in general. Hoa Phat construction steel sales volume reaches a modest 175,800 tons. However, consumption in the South still grew by more than 41%.

Specifically, steel consumption in the North reached 90,500 tons, the South was 34,571 tons and the Central was 23,800 tons. According to preliminary statistics, sales volume in the North of 11 construction steel enterprises reached just over 300,000 tons in the past month.

The highlight of Hoa Phat construction steel is still the southern market. While the Tet-holiday month has less than 20 working days, the output is still growing by 41% compared to the same period last year, thanks to the quick and complete supply of products from the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Integrated Complex. High quality rolled wire for drawing wire is increasingly popular in this market.

For exports, Hoa Phat construction steel exports nearly 27,000 tons of finished steel products (construction steel, high quality rolled steel for wire drawing) to Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan and Australia. In addition, Hoa Phat also exports over 60,000 tons of steel billet to the world market.

According to the report of Hoa Phat steel plants, the amount of crude steel at factories in Hai Duong, Hung Yen and Dung Quat in the first month of 2020 reached 280,000 tons, a slight increase over the same period.
