Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Tran Dinh Long - Chairman of Hoa Phat Group, Mr. Tran Tuan Duong General Director of the Group, and the Board of Directors of Hoa Phat Hung Yen Steel Company.

Hideichiro Takashima, Chairman of Kyoei Steel Group, said that Kyoei was one of the first Japanese companies to invest in Vietnam 25 years ago with the establishment of Vina Kyoei Steel Co., Ltd. in May. 1/1994 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

Leaders of Kyoei Group also congratulated Hoa Phat Group on successfully operating the first blast furnace in Dung Quat after less than 3 years of implementation and considered this a miracle. “We always thought that Hoa Phat was a giant and a big brother in steel production and trading in Vietnam market. Currently, Vietnam Kyoei Steel Company - KSVC (Ninh Binh) has bought 5,000 tons of steel billets every month of Hoa Phat and wants to increase this number many times, "said Hideichiro Takashima.

With two steel production companies, Vina Kyoei in the South and KSVC in the North, Kyoei hopes to find a stable steel billets supplier from blast furnaces for Kyoei's factories in Vietnam.

Mr. Tran Dinh Long, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoa Phat Group, welcomed the visit of Kyoei Steel Corporation - one of the largest steel companies in Japan and introduced to partners about the capacity scale of the Group's factories. At the same time, Mr. Tran Dinh Long affirmed that Hoa Phat's factory could supply Kyoei factories 50,000 tons of quality steel billets a month at a competitive price, because Hoa Phat's steel billets were smelted from blast furnace technology on modern lines of Europe (Danieli).

Chairman of Hoa Phat also said that the Group's consistent policy so far is to cooperate and develop with partners in a long term, for example, Hoa Phat has cooperated with Mikasa - Japan for nearly 30 years. Besides, Hoa Phat also needs to cooperate with Kyoei in supplying scrap steel.

"Steel billets of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Integrate Complex come out the furnace after about 48 hours will transfer from Hoa Phat Dung Quat Port to Ba Ria - Vung Tau for Vina Kyoei Factory to run steel rolling immediately" - Chairman Tran Dinh Long strongly pressed.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed that after this visit, they will set up a working group to implement cooperation contents between the two groups, promoting the mutual development of both sides in the future.
