Hoa Phat’s steel pipe market share on the rise

In the first 10 months of the year, steel pipe of Hoa Phat Group took the lead of the market with total output of more than 390,000 tonnes, surging from the same period last year. Alone October 2016, the sale of Hoa Phat’s steel pipe rose by 10 per cent from the previous month to reach 45,2000 tonnes. Its market share rose by 0.3 per cent to 25.32 per cent compared to last month.

The central and southern markets of Hoa Phat’s steel pipe saw a relatively high growth rate with the key products of black welded steel pipe, galvanized steel pipe, hot dip galvanized and galvanized steel sheet. In the 10-month period, the southern region’s consumption contributed over 100,000 tonnes and that of the central region was nearly 70,000 tonnes. The company’s steel products were continuously sold to big construction nationwide such as projects of Samsung Viet Nam, Ben Luc-Long Thanh Expressway, Nguyen Hue Walking Street and metro No 1 in HCM City...

Hoa Phat steel pipe took the lead in term of market share for years

In the report on the steel pipe production in October and the first 10 months of the year, Viet Nam Steel Association (VSA) said both output and consumption of the product were surged. Specifically, in October 2016, the sale of steel pipe of its member companies reached 162,797 tonnes, posting 33.6 per cent year-on-year increase. In the first 10 months of 2016, VSA’s companies produced and sold more than 1.5 million tonnes, increasing over 30 per cent from the corresponding period last year.

Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Company Ltd has promoting expansion of its production in the three regions to meet with the market demand in the fastest way. The total capacity of its plants reaches more than 600,000 tonnes per year. The company complete the galvanized steel sheet production line No 6 and 7 at steel pipe plant in northern Hung Yen Province with capacity of 500,000 tonnes per year, contributing to provide input material for its production as well as the market demand.

In addition to the project, the Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Company Ltd has been implementing a range of other projects at its factories in Da Nang and Binh Duong. The company would complete investment to expand its production to increase capacity at its steel pipe factory in the central Da Nang Province to 200,000 tonnes of products a year by the middle of 2017. It would also complete the galvanized steel sheet production line and concentrated waste water disposal sysrem at its steel pipe factory in southern Binh Duong Province, bringing the total capacity at Binh Duong – Long An to 250,000 tonnes per year.
