Hoa Phat’s steel output reached around 1.1 million in H1

Hoa Phat Construction Steel reached an output of nearly 1.1 million tonnes in the first six months of the year, slightly increased from the same period last year. This has been a positive result when placed in the context of the Hoa Phat group stoped blast furnace No 2 for maintenance and equipment replacement for two months. Hoa Phat continued to maintain its leading position with market share of 23 per cent.

According to Hoa Phat Steel’s leaders, Viet Nam has been the main consumption market of the group as the sales in the southern region was on the rise. The construction demand which has been higher so far this year has been the impetus to help the group maintain its steel sale and high growth rate from the previous years. In addition, the high quality wire rod steel labelled SAE1008, SAE1015, SWRM17 have been continuously given orders both inside and outside the country with increasing volume.

In the first half of the year, Hoa Phat sold 116,000 tonnes of wire rod steel. Of which 58,000 tonnes were exported to Australia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, accounting for more than a half of its total exports to the foreign markets.

In addition to wire rod steel, Hoa Phat has been steadily exporting steel bars and rolled steel for construction to other countries and initially exporting to the South Korean market. Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and the Philippines are the countries in Southeast Asia that order the highest volume of Hoa Phat Steel and still have many potential.

For the US market, from the beginning of this year, Hoa Phat exported 15,000 tonnes and in July, the group will export additional 10,000 tonnes to this market. This demonstrates the high competitiveness of Hoa Phat steel in international trade.

These things have created prestige for Hoa Phat steel brand.
