Hoa Phat steel sales volume reaches 2.6 million tonnes in Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, Hoa Phat Group produced 2.5 million tonnes of crude steel, on par with the first quarter and up 10% year-on-year. Sales volume of hot-rolled coil (HRC), construction steel, high-quality steel, and billet reached 2.6 million tonnes, marking increases of 9% quarter-on-quarter and 18% compared to Q2 2024.

For the first time, HRC sales exceeded 1.1 million tonnes in a quarter, up 18% over Q1. Construction and high-quality steel sales totaled 1.3 million tonnes, rising 7% from the previous quarter.

Downstream products from HRC such as coated steel sheets and steel pipes recorded strong growth in Q2, with volumes reaching 110,000 tonnes and 216,000 tonnes, respectively.

In the first half of 2025, Hoa Phat Group produced 5.1 million tonnes of crude steel, up 17% compared to the same period in 2024. Total sales of HRC, construction steel, high-quality steel, and billet reached 5 million tonnes, up 23% year-on-year.

Of this, HRC contributed 2.2 million tonnes, a 42% increase over the first half of 2024. Construction and high-quality steel reached 2.5 million tonnes, up 11% year-on-year. Hoa Phat remains Vietnam’s market leader in construction steel, holding a 38% market share.

Currently, the Group is focusing on completing and commissioning blast furnace No. 6, aiming to finish phase 2 of the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Iron and Steel Integrated Complex by September this year.

Upon completion, Hoa Phat’s total annual steel production capacity will reach 16 million tonnes, including 8.5 million tonnes of HRC—fully meeting domestic market demand for this product.
