Hoa Phat steel pipe reports 16% growth rate, its steel sheet has the first order exported to Thai market

Despite of affects from the second outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hoa Phat steel pipe still posted a sale of 422,300 tonnes in the first seven months of the year. Of which, its import volume rose by 16 per cent from the same period last year. Meanwhile, Hoa Phat steel sheet also recorded positive results with an export order of more than 10,000 tonnes to the Thai market.

Large pipes have contributed significantly to the increase in the Company's sale volume

Alone in July, Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Company Limited provided 75,200 tonnes of steel pipes to the market, posting 7 per cent year-on-year increase. The northern region had the highest growth rate with 18 per cent, following by the southern region with 9.3 per cent. Hoa Phat steel pipe continue to take the leading position in the industry with the market share of 32 per cent.

According to Viet Nam Steel Association (VSA), the steel pipe export volume in the first half of the year of its member companies was sharply reduced by 17.3 per cent from the corresponding period last year. However, Hoa Phat steel pipe still have positive results with export volume of 10,800 tonnes in the first seven months of the year, increasing 16 per cent from the same period last year. Its importers included the US, Canada, Australia, Mexico and Southeast Asia.

The company has paid attention to invest in improving products’ quality and introducing new products, especially the large pipes with super large diameters like round pipe ⱷ273 and ⱷ 325mm, square box 200x200, 250x250 mm, rectangular tube 200x300mm, pipe thickness up to 12mm. The products have been widely used for many projects across the country.

The products have affirmed the position and stature of Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Company and contributing significantly to the increase in its sale volume in the first seven months of 2020.
