Hoa Phat Steel pipe attends the Seminar “The new version ISO 9001:2008 and the conversion process”

On December 5th 2008, Mr. Do Duc Van – The Director of Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Factory – Binh Duong Branch and some Hoa Phat Steel pipe Company’s officers attended the Seminar “The new version ISO 9001:2008 and the conversion process”. The Seminar was held by Det Norske Veritas Vietnam Company (DNV) – 1 of 5 world’s leading certified organizations in Vietnam Trade Union Hotel.

At the Seminar, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nam, The Director of DNV in the North introduced some changes of the new version ISO 9001:2008 – the version which is estimated to officially issue in the end of 2008. The new version will replace ISO 9001:2000 of ISO 9001 which has been applied in the world for many years, including economic and general affairs sectors. This is the 4th version of this standard series.

DNV Vietnam Company is the company which assesses the yearly application of ISO 9001:2000 standard series in all activities from production, business to customer care of Hoa Phat Steel pipe Company.

The participation in this Seminar  helped Hoa Phat Steel pipe Company’s officers to update the changes of the new version ISO 9001 standard series as well as grasp the process of improving the version following the regulation of the International Standard Organization ISO and International Accreditation Forum IAF.

Basing on the Seminar’s information, the Company will give plan for updating the changes to the current system, in order to standardize more the ISO process of the Company.
