Hoa Phat steel exports to Africa

Hoa Phat Steel Company has signed some contracts to export its high-quality wire rod steel (grade SAE) to Africa. This marks its success in expanding new export markets.

Hoa Phat Steel would export its products to the potential Africa through multinational trading companies based in Switzerland and Dubai. It is expected that in September and October, the first shipments will be shipped to Kenya and Ghana with a total volume of nearly 30,000 tonnes. Of which, the Kenyan market is more than 17,000 tonnes while the rest is to Ghana.

All of the products exported to Africa are produced at Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel integrated Complex. With the closed production process from iron ore and blast furnace technology, oxygen blowing furnace, Hoa Phat steel is deeply removed impurities, meeting all the strictest standards of both domestic and foreign markets. Therefore, SAE wire rod products are commonly used to produce wire rod, wire mesh, nails, screws and bolts.

In the first seven months of the year, Hoa Phat exported 160,000 tonnes of high-quality wire rod which was 2.3 times higher than the same period last year and increasing 35.5 per cent in comparison with total SAE exported product for the whole 2019. Its export markets include the US, Japan, Canada, China, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Brunei, the Philippines and Singapore.

Hoa Phat Steel has easily penetrated into other markets thanks to conquering difficult ones.

Hoa Phat started to promote manufacturing and supply of high quality wire rod steel from Φ 5.5 to Φ16mm, meeting all the strictest standards such as ASTM A510/A510M-13 (the US), JIS G. 3507-1: 2010, JIS G 3505: 2004 (Japan) since October 2016. This is a special advantage of the largest iron ore steel producer in Vietnam. As a result, the export volume of this item has been increasing strongly.
