Hoa Phat signed a memorandum of understanding with Chip Mong Group to export construction steel to Cambodia

On the morning of June 28, 2024, at their office located at 66 Nguyen Du, Hoa Phat signed a memorandum of understanding with Chip Mong Group to export construction steel to Cambodia. The agreement covers the period from July 1, 2024, to December 31, 2025.

062824-6 Mr. Leang Khun, Executive Chairman of Chip Mong, and Mr. Kieu Chi Cong, Director of Hoa Phat Hung Yen Steel Company, presented the memorandum of understanding at office 66 Nguyen Du. They were joined by Ms. Pheap Heak, Chairman and founder of Chip Mong Group, and Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang, General Director of Hoa Phat Group.

During the signing ceremony, General Director Nguyen Viet Thang highlighted that Hoa Phat is Vietnam's largest private enterprise, operating in five main sectors: iron and steel, steel products, agriculture, real estate, and electronics. Emphasizing a commitment to harmonious and mutual development, Hoa Phat values long-term partnerships with key allies like Chip Mong Group.

Hoa Phat has exported steel to nearly 40 countries across five continents and pledges to fulfill the construction steel demands of Cambodian partners.

Beyond steel, Hoa Phat anticipates collaboration in areas where both companies excel, aiming to supply Hoa Phat products to Chip Mong's network of commercial centers and supermarkets in Cambodia.

According to Mr. Leang Khun, Executive Chairman of Chip Mong, established in 1982, Chip Mong is a Cambodian conglomerate with 13 member companies. The group leads in various sectors including iron and steel, real estate, beer and beverage production, cement, and concrete.

Chip Mong has partnered with Hoa Phat for over a decade in the iron and steel sector, making Chip Mong Hoa Phat's largest steel partner in the Cambodian market. Mr. Leang Khun expressed optimism that the memorandum signing ceremony will pave the way for expanded cooperation across multiple domains between both entities in the near future.
