Hoa Phat reports VND 15.48 trillion in net profit for the first half of 2026, fulfilling 70% of full-year target

In the second quarter of 2026, Hoa Phat Group generated consolidated revenue of VND 55.557 trillion, representing a 53% year-on-year increase. Net profit after tax reached VND 6.424 trillion, up 51% compared with the same period in 2025. For the first six months of 2026, the Group recorded consolidated revenue of VND 108.870 trillion and net profit after tax of VND 15.480 trillion, marking year-on-year growth of 47% and 103%, respectively, compared with the first half of 2025.

For 2026, Hoa Phat has set consolidated targets of VND 210 trillion in revenue and VND 22 trillion in net profit after tax. As of the end of June, the Group achieved 52% of revenue and 70% of net profit to reach its full- year target. The steel segment remained the principal contributor, accounting for 93% of consolidated revenue and 68% of total profit. During the first half of the year, Hoa Phat contributed VND 8.478 trillion in taxes and other statutory payments to state budgets across 20 provinces and municipalities nationwide.

In the second quarter, Hoa Phat produced more than 3.6 million tonnes of crude steel (steel billets), an increase of 48% compared with the second quarter of 2025 and 9% over the previous quarter. Total sales of construction steel, high-quality wire rod, hot rolled coil (HRC), and steel billets reached 3.5 million tonnes, up 35% year-on-year. 

During the first half of 2026, the Group produced nearly 7 million tonnes of crude steel, representing a 36% increase from the corresponding period of 2025. Combined sales of HRC, construction steel, high-quality steel products, and steel billets totaled 6.5 million tonnes, up 32% year-on-year. HRC sales reached nearly 3.4 million tonnes, an increase of 57% over the first six months of 2025. During the same period, Hoa Phat supplied 453,000 tonnes of steel pipes, up 13%, while galvanized steel sheet sales totaled 189,000 tonnes, down 5% compared with the corresponding period last year.

Hoa Phat Agriculture posts profit of VND 648 billion after 6 months, fulfilling 64% of the annual plan

Agriculture continued to be the Group's second-largest contributor to both revenue and earnings after the steel business. In the first half of 2026, Hoa Phat Agriculture sold nearly 177,000 tonnes of animal feed, more than 212,000 pigs, over 10,000 head of cattle, and 170.7 million eggs.

Since the beginning of the year, the Group has commenced the development of several new industrial park projects, including Hoang Dieu Industrial Park in Hai Phong, Dong Phuc Industrial Park in Bac Ninh, and Industrial Parks No. 2 and No. 6 in Hung Yen. Together, these projects cover a total planned area of 1,125 hectares.

In the home appliances segment, Hoa Phat has also broken ground on a new refrigerator manufacturing facility in Phu My, with a total investment of USD 50 million and a designed annual production capacity of 1.2 million units. The project is expected to strengthen the Group's export capabilities while positioning Hoa Phat to capture opportunities arising from the continued relocation of global manufacturing supply chains to Vietnam.

Hoa Phat Group is the largest steel producer in Southeast Asia, with an annual production capacity of 16 million tonnes, primarily focused on hot rolled coil and high-quality steel products. The Group is currently accelerating construction of the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Rail and Special Steel Plant, which is designed to produce 700,000 tonnes annually. After seven months of construction, the project has surpassed 50% of completion. Commercial production of railway rails is expected to commence in the second quarter of 2027, supplying key national infrastructure and railway projects across Vietnam.
