Hoa Phat provided more than 2.77 million tons of construction steel for the market, strongly growing in the South

In 2019, Hoa Phat has produced and supplied more than 2.776 million tons of high quality construction steel to the market, up 16,8% over the same period, including over 265.000 tons exported to international markets such as Japan, Cambodia, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Australia, USA .... With this result, Hoa Phat continues to affirm the leading position in construction steel market share in Vietnam.

Particularly in December 2019, Hoa Phat's construction steel sales reached 285.000 tons, up 33,7% compared to December 2018, exports reached 39.664 tons, up 81,8% over the same period. In December 2019, the southern region achieved sales volume of about 70.000 tons, nearly 3 times higher than the same period in 2018.

However, the highest sales volume this year of Hoa Phat construction steel in the South was recorded in November 2019 with over 80.000 tons. According to Mr. Do Minh Quy - Director of Hoa Phat Construction Steel Branch in Ho Chi Minh City, the sales volume in the last 2 months of the year mentioned above is the record level, the highest ever.

Accumulated all year, the Southern region has sold nearly half a million tons of construction steel, doubling in 2018. The product is strongly consumed both in civil areas and projects. High quality coil wire for drawing wire also continuously recorded impressive numbers in this market.

The southern region has recently increased sharply thanks to the supply of products from the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Integrated Complex. With the seaport allowing large ships to dock, Hoa Phat steel is easily transported to the central and southern provinces as well as exported, responding quickly and promptly to both domestic and foreign orders. .

Until now, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Integrated Complex has basically been completed, is in the stage of trial operation of phase 1 and speeding up the construction progress of phase 2 of the Complex. It is expected that the entire two phases will come into operation in synchronization from the end of the second quarter of 2020.

In parallel with the trial operation of phase 1, Hoa Phat Dung Quat seaport is capable of receiving 200.000-ton ships is also being completed. Hoa Phat Dung Quat Port is considered as one of the most important items of the Dung Quat Iron and Steel Integrated Complex, because it is a huge and unique advantage of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel, helping to optimize the logistic, easy to import raw materials, unload goods and export finished products ... from the Complex to domestic and foreign markets.

In the 2020 plan, Hoa Phat aims to achieve 3,5 – 3,6 million tons of construction steel, of which 1 million tons is in the South. To realize this growth target, Hoa Phat Construction Steel is speeding up activities to prepare warehouses, ports, promotion programs, sponsors for building solid bridges in the Western provinces, ... in order to bring the Hoa Phat steel brand closer to people in the Southeast, Mekong Delta.
