Hoa Phat officially puts steel pipe manufacturing plant in Tay Ninh into operation

Hoa Phat Long An Steel Products JSC has completed the installation of equipment and officially put its steel pipe manufacturing plant into operation in January 2026, marking a new step in expanding production capacity and developing both domestic and export markets.

The Hoa Phat Long An Steel Pipe Plant has a capacity of 400,000 tons per year and is equipped with a 10 MW rooftop solar power system, supplying more than half of the plant’s electricity demand.

Located in Tay Ninh Province (formerly part of Long An), a gateway connecting Ho Chi Minh City with provinces in the Mekong Delta, the Hoa Phat Long An Steel Pipe Plant is equipped with modern production lines with a capacity of 400,000 tons per year. The project, developed by Hoa Phat Long An Steel Products JSC, has a total investment of VND 2.6 trillion and covers an area of 15 hectares. The project is implemented in two phases. Phase 1 of the project was completed in December 2025. By January 2026, the plant had been fully completed and all production lines were put into stable operation, creating jobs for nearly 1,000 local workers.

The plant manufactures a wide range of products, including extra-large steel pipe products.

The plant specializes in manufacturing steel pipe products serving civil construction, industry, and technical infrastructure, including black steel pipes, galvanized steel pipes, hot-dip galvanized steel pipes, galvanized steel coils, and especially extra-large steel pipe products.

Even during the final completion stage, strict quality inspections, trial operations, and process optimization were carried out. This ensures that all products meet high technical standards before leaving the factory and comply with the stringent requirements of both domestic and international markets. All products are strictly controlled and comply with international standards such as ASTM (USA), BS EN (UK), and JIS (Japan).

The project is equipped with modern production lines imported entirely from countries with advanced industrial technologies, significantly improving both productivity and product quality compared with previous technologies.

With its new production capacity, Hoa Phat Long An’s steel pipe products have been used in many major infrastructure and transportation projects, including Long Thanh International Airport, Tan Son Nhat Airport Terminal T3, the expansion project of Phu Quoc International Airport, Quang Tri Airport, the APEC Convention Center in Phu Quoc, the underground technical infrastructure project in Rach Gia City, and the Saigon Pedestrian Bridge.

Participation in these large-scale projects not only affirms the quality and reputation of the Hoa Phat Steel Pipe brand but also highlights the increasingly important role of the plant in the construction materials supply chain, contributing to infrastructure development and economic growth in southern Vietnam in the coming years.

Putting the plant into operation will not only increase the production capacity of Hoa Phat Long An Steel Products JSC but also expand opportunities for cooperation with export partners. With its advantageous logistics location and professional management system, the company expects to quickly strengthen its position in the regional steel market.

Alongside production expansion, the company has also invested in a rooftop solar power system with a capacity of 10 MW, supplying more than half of the plant’s electricity demand and aligning with the Government’s sustainable development orientation and green transition strategy.

With the completion of this plant, Hoa Phat Group’s total steel pipe production capacity has reached 1.2 million tons per year. Hoa Phat currently holds the No.1 market share in Vietnam’s steel pipe sector at 31.2%, reinforcing its leading position in the domestic market while creating new growth opportunities in export markets in the coming years.
