Hoa Phat Named Vietnam’s Largest Steel Enterprise in Budget Contribution

CafeF has just announced the PRIVATE 100 list, honoring the 100 private enterprises with the largest budget contributions in Vietnam in 2025 (based on actual payments in the fiscal year 2024). In 2024, Hoa Phat contributed more than VND 13.4 trillion to the state budget - the highest ever - ranking No. 1 among steel enterprises and No. 4 among private enterprises nationwide.

According to the PRIVATE 100 ranking, Hoa Phat is one of four private conglomerates with budget contributions exceeding VND 10 trillion (with more than VND 13.4 trillion, up 48% year-on-year). Since its listing on the stock exchange in 2007 through June 30, 2025, Hoa Phat has contributed a total of VND 95 trillion to the state budget.

In the VNTAX 200 list of the 200 largest budget-contributing companies in Vietnam in 2025, Hoa Phat ranked 14th and was one of only four private enterprises in the Top 20.

In the Top 10 Steel & Building Materials Companies contributing to the budget in 2025, Hoa Phat topped the list, far ahead of other companies in the same industry.

Founded in 1992, Hoa Phat Group operates in five sectors: iron and steel, steel products, agriculture, real estate, and household appliances. Its diversified ecosystem includes key products such as hot-rolled coil, high-quality steel, prestressed steel, steel pipe, galvanized steel, and containers.

In the first half of 2025, Hoa Phat contributed VND 7.1 trillion to the budget across 20 provinces and cities nationwide. Alongside its business growth, Hoa Phat actively fulfills its corporate social responsibility with a focus on four main areas: healthcare, education, transportation, and community development.

The Group has implemented numerous social initiatives, including building 1,500 houses for disadvantaged families in various provinces and donating more than VND 40 billion to construct a new school in Binh Dong (Quang Ngai). Hoa Phat has also provided water filtration systems for schools and medical facilities, supported heart surgeries for children, and cared for orphans.
