Hoa Phat named as National Brand for five consecutive years

On November 25th 2020, the Việt Nam National Branding Programme Announcement Ceremony in Hanoi honoured 124 businesses with 283 products. Hoa Phat Group was honoured the National Brand for five years in a row.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Industry and Trade cum chairman of the Vietnam National Brand Council, Tran Tuan Anh said through through criteria of Quality; Innovation and Leadership, the firms awarded the National Brand have affirmed their leading positions in their sectors, maintaining high growth rates, both in terms of profit and revenue as well as retaining both domestic and export market despite of many difficulties and challenges in recent years, especially in the context of the unpredictable COVID-19 pandemic in the world.

Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh heaped praise on the firms for their efforts and contributions to socio-economic development. Overcoming difficulties and challenges, the enterprises have shown their excellence not only in business and economic development, but also successfully completing the responsibilities to the society.

Hoa Phat Group takes the No. 1 market share in Vietnam in construction steel and steel pipes, with market shares of 32.8 per cent and 31 per cent respectively as well as leading the office furniture market. With effective business operations, in the period of 2015-2019, Hoa Phat Group contributed VND24.05 trillion to the State budget. Alone in 2019, the contribution to the State budget of Hoa Phat Group reached VND6.63 trillion. It is expected that when the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex project in Quang Ngai Province comes into stable operation, Hoa Phat Group’s would contribute VND10 trillion each year to the State budget. In addition, it would contribute to the socio-economic development of the province and the central region.

Earlier, Hoa Phat was awarded the prize in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018. Its products meet with the National Brand’s criteria including competitiveness capacity, growth rate in production and business, brand name’s prestige, contributions to the State budget, social corporate responsibility (CSR) ad sustainable development and environmental protection.

These companies’ combined revenues and export turnover in the National Brand list hit VNĐ1.4 quadrillion (US$60.5 billion) and VNĐ137 trillion last year, respectively. They contributed more than VNĐ200 trillion to the State budget and created jobs for some 471,000 labourers.
