Hoa Phat is one of the 10 largest public companies in Vietnam

On December 30, 2019, Forbes Vietnam officially announced the list of "100 largest public companies" in Vietnam. Hoa Phat is in the Top 10, with a real estate business, an oil and a gas enterprise and 6 banks.

This is the first time Forbes has made this list in Vietnam. The list of "100 largest public companies" was assessed by Forbes Vietnam based on four criteria: revenue, profit, total assets and market capitalization according to Global 2000 list ranking method (2,000 largest global companies) of Forbes (USA). Especially, the top 10 recorded the impression of the private sector when accounting for 5/10 positions, including Hoa Phat.

In 2018, Hoa Phat achieved the highest after-tax profit ever with VND 8.600 billion. Total state budget contribution for the year was VND 6.388 billion, an increase of 32% compared to 2017. In the first 9 months of 2019, HPG completed 84% of profit after tax in 2019 with VND 5.655 billion. As of September 30 2019, Hoa Phat's total assets is about VND 97.448 billion, the market capitalization of HPG on December 13, 2019 is over VND 65.710 billion.

Different from the list of "50 best listed companies" (the subjects listed on HSX and HNX) published in June each year emphasizing efficiency and growth, the list of "100 great companies" to expand their reach to UPCoM and unlisted public companies. According to the statistics of Forbes Vietnam, the HSX has 65 representatives, UPCoM has 23 representatives, the HNX has 7 representatives, the rest are unlisted public enterprises.
