Hoa Phat invests in premium flooring plywood production, expands product range

Flooring plywood will become a new product line in the Hoa Phat Group's ecosystem. As part of its long-term strategy, Hoa Phat plans to allocate 20% of its plywood capacity for the container segment, while 80% will focus on advanced plywood products to meet both domestic and export market demand.​​

Chairman Tran Dinh Long stated: “In addition to producing container flooring plywood, Hoa Phat will manufacture advanced flooring products to serve the needs of the furniture, transportation, and construction industries, both locally and internationally. The Group aims to become one of the Top 3 flooring manufacturers in Vietnam by 2030.”

The flooring plywood manufacturing company, a subsidiary of Hoa Phat Group, was granted its investment certificate on February 5, 2024. It specializes in producing various types of flooring plywood, contributing to the Group’s product diversification and completing its container value chain. The company has invested in a container flooring plywood plant located at Lot 35, D.12 Street, Chau Duc Industrial Park, Nghia Thanh Commune, Chau Duc District, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province.

To ensure the highest quality, Hoa Phat has invested in the most advanced production line. The plant's projected capacity is 70,000 m³ per year (equivalent to 2.5 million m² of products annually). The current raw materials include bamboo and rubberwood sourced from plantations in Vietnam, complying with FSC standards, and using a mix of PF, MUF adhesives, bamboo cores, and veneer. The company’s flooring plywood products meet all technical requirements for container flooring such as EPA, CARB, and FDA.

Hoa Phat technology features a pressing force of up to 2,800 tons, utilizing multi-layer pressing with the highest pressure capacity currently available. Hoa Phat flooring offers superior performance compared to conventional flooring plywood with outstanding load-bearing capacity up to 7,260 kg/cm², along with moisture resistance, water resistance, and fire resistance. Backed by modern technology, Hoa Phat is confident in supplying flooring plywood products to both domestic and international markets.
