Hoa Phat honoured as National Brand for five consecutive years

Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh has promulgated the Decision No 2534/QĐ-BCT to recognise 124 businesses with 283 products as National Brands in 2020. Hoa Phat was honoured the National Brand for five years in a  row.

Earlier, Hoa Phat was awarded the prize in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018. Its products meet with the National Brand’s criteria including competitiveness capacity, growth rate in production and business, brand name’s prestige, contributions to the State budget, social corporate responsibility (CSR) ad sustainable development and environmental protection.

Hoa Phat takes the lead in term of market share in construction steel and steel pipe in Việt Nam with 32.6 per cent and 31 per cent respectively. It also hold the No 1 position in the office interior industry. With the effective business activities, Hoa Phat contributed more than VND24 trillion to the State budget in 2015-19 period. Alone in 2019, Hoa Phat contributed VND6.6 trillion to the State budget. It is expected than its contributions to the State budget would reach VND100 trillion a year when its Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Production Complex comes into stable operation. In addition, it would contribute to socio-economic development of Quang Ngai Province and the central region.

Vietnam National Brand Program is the Government’s unique, long-term and exclusive trade promotion program aimed at building and developing national brands through product brands. Participation in the program could help enterprises comprehensively evaluate activities, production results, sales and branding strategy through the program's criteria system. It thereby would encourage enterprises to share and pursue the core values of the program, which is Quality - Innovation, Creativity - Pioneer Capacity.

Over nearly 17 years of establishment and development, the Vietnam National Brand Program has achieved positive results, attracting special attention and creating prestige for businesses, management authorities as well as consumers at home and abroad. It has also honoured typical product brands and enterprises representing Vietnam National Brand, contributing to affirm Vietnam as a country with high quality goods and services and highly competitive in the international market.

It is expected that the announcement ceremony for Vietnam National Brand in 2020 will be held at the end of November 2020 at the Hanoi Opera House and broadcast live on Vietnam Television.
