Hoa Phat honored as the enterprise has best governance capacity

In the afternoon of September 23, 2019, at the Announcement Ceremony of an Enterprise with good financial management capacity index on Vietnam's stock market in 2018, Hoa Phat Group was honored as “Enterprise has the best management capacity and financial capacity on stock exchange in Vietnam and leading the steel industry ”.

The event is a part of the program "Assessment of business performance" by the Business Forum Newspaper cooperated with the Institute of Business Research and Development (INBUS), Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors (VAA), the Vietnam Business Administration Association (VACD) organizations. The program has been implemented annually since 2013 on the basis of surveying and evaluating 21 financial criterias related to all production and business activities of enterprises listed on Vietnam's stock exchange in 30 economic fields.

Officially listed shares on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) since November 2007, up to now, Hoa Phat has always been in the top of the companies with the largest market capitalization with the impressive business results.

In 2018, Hoa Phat Group achieved impressive business results with the consolidated revenue of VND 56,500 billion, increased 21% compared to 2017. Particularly, the after-tax profit reached the highest level in HPG history at VND 8,600 billion, 7% higher than the plan and the previous year. In the first 6 months of 2019, Hoa Phat Group has completed 58% of the profit plan at VND 3,860 billion. The Group's financial ratios are at a safe level, the debt / total asset ratio is always controlled at 0.5-0.7 times.

Hoa Phat not only holds the No. 1 market share in Vietnam in the fields of construction steel, steel pipes, office furniture but also leads in some new categories such as raising and supplying Australian cows and clean chicken eggs to the Vietnam market.

Previously, Hoa Phat was also honored in the list of "Top 500 best profit enterprises in Vietnam", "Top 10 best listed enterprises in 2019" of VNR; "The 50 most effective companies in Vietnam"; Forbes' top 5 the best profit listed companies in 2019.
