Hoa Phat hands over VND 42 Billion Primary School to Quang Ngai Province

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, along with representatives from provincial departments and local authorities. Representing Hoa Phat were Mr. Mai Van Ha – Director of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel JSC, together with the school’s board of management, teachers, and students.

Construction of Binh Dong Primary School began in May 2024 and was completed after 14 months. The project consists of three three-storey blocks with 38 classrooms, four subject rooms, 14 functional rooms, and supporting facilities such as parking areas, guardhouses, connecting corridors, green spaces, and a fire-fighting pump station. The school meets the learning and training needs of 1,300 pupils in the area.

With a total area of over 1.2 hectares, Binh Dong Primary School meets national standards and is oriented towards the model of a high-quality school for Van Tuong Commune and Quang Ngai Province as a whole. It is considered one of the most modern and beautiful schools in the province and was completed just in time for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Mr. Lu The Lam, Vice Chairman of Van Tuong Commune People’s Committee, highly appreciated Hoa Phat’s large-scale investments in both production and social welfare. He noted that many meaningful programs have been carried out, such as “Loving Spring” – providing Tet gifts to disadvantaged families, upgrading educational and healthcare facilities, and supporting disaster prevention. He expressed confidence that the new school, along with other projects developed by Hoa Phat, will help modernize education, healthcare, and transport infrastructure in the area.

Representing the students, Nguyen Thien Lam, a 5th grader, said: “This new school is not only a place for study but also a place where dreams are nurtured. Walking into bright classrooms, a spacious library, and modern facilities feels like a dream come true. This is a precious gift for us, one that will accompany us as we grow up and contribute to our homeland.”

Previously, Hoa Phat contributed over VND 5 billion to support the renovation of Binh Dong Secondary School and March 18 Kindergarten. To date, Hoa Phat has invested VND 175 billion in social welfare programs in Quang Ngai Province, focusing on four key areas: Education, Healthcare, Transportation, and Community.
