Hoa Phat Group supports 40 orphans in Hai Duong Province for 5 years

On April 1, 2022, the Women's Union and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Hai Duong Province held the launching ceremony of the "Godmother - Connecting love" program to support orphan children with particularly difficult circumstances. At the event, Hoa Phat Group will support and sponsor for 40 orphans in the locality in 5 years with a total value of VND1.2 billion.

The event was attended by leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, departments, and businesses of Hai Duong Province. Representatives of Hoa Phat Group - Mr. Do Duc Don - Deputy Director of Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Joint Stock Company attended the event.

The "Godmother - Connecting love" program was launched and implemented by the Women's Union and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Hai Duong Province. The program has received the unanimous support of agencies, organizations, individuals, and benefactors.

According to initial statistics, all levels of women's unions in the province have mobilized and connected to sponsor 405 children with the total amount of VND9.2 billion, VND500,000 a child per month from 3-5 years. In which, Hoa Phat Group, through the Women's Union of Hai Duong Province, sponsors and supports 40 children in Kinh Mon, Kim Thanh, Thanh Mien and Binh Giang districts at the rate of VND500,000 a child per month, the support period is for a period of 05 years. The total support value is VND1.2 billion, the largest among businesses supporting this program.

Mr. Do Duc Don - Deputy Director of Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Joint Stock Company, on behalf of Hoa Phat Group, gave sponsorship support to 40 orphaned children.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Do Duc Don, Deputy Director of Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Joint Stock Company said: the Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Joint Stock Company under Hoa Phat Group located in the province. Hoa Phat Group's motto is to always harmonize the interests of businesses and the community in the spirit of Harmony for development. After receiving the program's information, Hoa Phat Group decided to support 40 orphans. “Hopefully this contribution together with other businesses and benefactors, will give more motivation and be a pedestal for disadvantaged children and disadvantaged people to realize their dreams, become good citizens of society”, said Mr. Do Duc Don.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thao, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Hai Duong Province, thanked and acknowledged the benevolent hearts and noble deeds of Hoa Phat Group, organizations and individuals in general who sympathized and shared with the orphaned children on this meaningful journey.

In 2021, Hoa Phat spent more than VND160 billion on charitable activities, joining hands for the community with practical significance such as: Sponsoring surgery for poor children with congenital heart disease, building new buildings, repairing schools, hospitals, bridges, and roads, supporting COVID-19 prevention and control activities, giving Tet gifts to the poor etc.
